This blog is a collection of recipes and stories about my family’s culinary adventures in our Kosher kitchen. The recipes all follow the guidelines of a Paleo diet, a way of eating that focuses on whole foods (like meat and veggies) while eliminating inflammatory elements from our diets (like grains, dairy, legumes, and refined sugars). While other sites that have Whole30 and Paleo recipes may have many recipes that are Kosher in theory, it practice it might not always be possible to find the ingredients certified Kosher. Everything made on this blog is made with entirely Kosher certified ingredients. All the meat recipes are tested using Kosher meat, which is salted, so they may need a bit more seasoning if made with non-Kosher meats. Every recipe posted on this blog is something we loved, and I hope you love it too, whether you follow a Paleo life style or are just looking for delicious healthy recipes.
Many of the recipes I post here on this blog are Paleo treats because I love baking and making desserts. They are only part of a healthy diet and it is up to each person to decide how the treats fit into their lifestyle. I figure that people are more interested in creative recipes for grain-free desserts that taste delicious than they are in hearing that I had spinach and turkey sausage with a side of cut red peppers for breakfast, yet again, so the recipes on the blog may seem a bit skewed towards the treat direction.
I am a busy mother of three small children. I love to cook and bake, so you will most often find me in the kitchen tinkering with new recipes. My husband is a congregational Rabbi and we do a lot of entertaining, so I tend to cook for a crowd. I am trying to grow more of our own food and we have chickens for eggs, but our garden is still a work in progress. In my spare time I also run a parve (non-dairy) baking blog Couldn’t be Parve (most of which is decidedly not paleo, but it is a whole lot of fun.)
I am always happy to answer questions or help with recipes in any way I can. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
